Macmillan Cancer Support

Registered Charity No. 261017

Macmillan Cancer Support exists to improve the lives of people affected by cancer and their families and carers. We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. Our primary goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer, which we can only achieve with the help of our fantastic supporters. Cancer affects us all, but we can all help. We are all Macmillan Cancer Support.

“It's great to think that I've raised a load of money for such a worthwhile cause. Until I looked into raising money for Macmillan I didn't realise they were solely funded by donations so that made me determined to raise as much money as I could. Many of my friends have told me what an invaluable support Macmillan Nurses were to them and their families, this was my way of saying thanks.” Team Macmillan runner

Martin House Children's Hospice

Registered Charity No.517919

Martin House Children’s Hospice celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2012, having opened our doors to welcome our very first family in August 1987, although we had already started caring for several children in their own homes.  The aim of Martin House, based near Wetherby, is to provide family led care for children with life threatening and life-limiting illnesses. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help. It costs Martin House over £4.5 million to run these vital services each year.
