Following the inaugural Jane Tomlinson Leeds Half Marathon entries are now open for the 2013 event. This year 6000 runners registered to take part in the region's largest half marathon which took runners past some of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Organised in conjuction with Leeds City Council it is hoped that the event will continue to grow year on year raising significant sums of money for charities across the region.
- Race Packs
Runners who registered on or before Monday 2nd April will receive their race packs by Friday 20th April.
Runners registering after 3rd April will be advised as to when to expect their race pack, which is likely to be 2 weeks prior to the event.

Millennium Square opens to Half Marathon participants only.
Millennium Square will include a baggage deposit marquee for you to leave your bag during the event, which will be open from 07:30. Please note that all baggage is left at the owner’s risk.
Toilets will also be available in the Square for participants, as well as on Victoria Gardens for spectators to use. Please refer to the site map in your Runner Guide for the locations of these facilities.
We kindly ask that anyone who is intending to jog or walk head to the areas closest to the Hospital side of Millennium Square to ensure that those wishing to run the event (often attempting a personal best) can do so without being held up in crowds.

At 08:40 there will be a warm up in Millennium Square, for all participants in this area.
08:50
Participants wishing to run under 90mins should make their way to the start area timing pens, located on Calverley Street. The pens will be split: Sub 75 mins; Sub 80 mins; Sub 85 mins; Sub 90 mins

Participants will be guided to the start from Millennium Square by Marshals. You should not attempt to make your way to the start before being told to do so.

The start will be on the Headrow next to Victoria Gardens, outside the Library and Art Gallery.- Post Race
There are a number of bars and cafes on Millennium Square as well as in the City Centre that will be sure to welcome participants, and are often bursting with atmosphere from the event afterwards.

- Travel
By road
Please be aware that there will be several thousand people heading to the city centre at a time when some major roads will be closed. Please plan your journey and where you are going to park in advance, so that you have plenty of time to get to the Start Assembly Area.Details of "where to park in Leeds City Centre" can be found here. Rolling road closures will stat at 5am, so please take these in to account and plan your journey accordingly. Full road closure information can be downoaded here.
By bus/coach
The bus station is approximately 10 – 15 minutes walk from the Start/Finish area. Please bear in mind that buses will be affected by the road closures also, so for alterations to services, please visit www.wymetro.com for up to date bus timetable details.
By train
Regular services run from most major train stations to Leeds City Train Station, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the Start/Finish area.By air
Leeds Bradford Airport is situated on the outskirts of Leeds, but the Metro Connect bus service provides easy access to Leeds City Centre.- Accomodation

The Leeds Half Marathon is licensed under the UK Athletics Road Race/Multi Terrain Rules for Competition. The Licence Number for this event is 2012-103061
Participants should also note that whilst your official race time is taken from the Events chip timing system, the winning participant will be based on first past the post (gun time).
